   Ruth Farrow

Ruth Farrow is an Advanced Hypnotherapist (AdvDipH), Accredited Supervisor and member of the General Hypnotherapy Council (GHR) Ruth is also a registered member of the BACP.  Training with Relate to become a Relationship Counsellor.


Ruth has worked in the Stoke-on-Trent areas practising for eight years, gradually moving away from her teaching career to work exclusively as an Advanced Hypnotherapist.


After returning back to Nottinghamshire for family care Ruth now works for a Community Charity, Helping Hands, Edlington, Doncaster, delivering therapy sessions across the community.


Ruth has worked mainly within the voluntary sectors in the areas of addiction and mental distress, bereavement and PTSD; and with public service providers including a long-running contract with the NHS delivering hypnotherapy. This NHS project was also published in a research article in the GP Services in house magazine “Primary Care” and focused on the benefits of hypnotherapy as an accompaniment to mainstream services.


Ruth also provided The University of Bristol qualitative information for a Department of Health-funded study of complementary/alternative medicine (CAM). Read more on the link below.


The study focused on patients in primary care with multiple conditions including mental health and musculoskeletal problems.


Ruth has a strong interest in supporting healthy sleep patterns and is a Qualified Sleep Counsellor with Sleep Scotland, alongside diet and food management, exercise, whilst maximising the benefits of hypnotherapy as a natural alternative.

Ruth is also a qualified and experienced supervisor.
